This is a pilot of sorts for the Groovement show on Manchester FM station Unity Radio, going live for a soft launch on 92.8FM this week. Myself, Agent J, takes you through two hours of some of the styles you might hear on the show: it’s not typical in that there’s no guest involved (the show is usually based around a guest artist) so I threw in the Ghostface interview from last year too. First hour is soul, funk, hip hop, the second more beatsy. Enjoy. And yes, I know now Passin’ Me By is J Swift not Dilla – my bad!

In full Manc effect, the DMC Championship Heats hit town and JUICY are hosting! The IN THE LOOP crew hit the Juicy girl’s special last weekend down at the Deaf Institute and didn’t leave the dancefloor til drink-up time. We’re looking forward to welcoming Mr and Mr Juicy onto the Groovement radio show sometime very soon, but in the meantime they’ve drummed up a real coup for a Wednesday night down at up-and-coming new venue Sound Control.
